Puzzle Cube

Puzzle Cube Challenge
Our goal for this individual design-build challenge was to create a 27-cube puzzle.
The criteria was to make 5 pieces using the 27 cubes that could only be 3x3x3.

To begin, we brainstormed almost all possible combination parts with 3 cubes to six. The sixes seem endless! I color coded mine: 3= yellow, 4=red, 5=blue, 6=orange

Our next task was to pick our parts for the first puzzle cube!

Once I'd chosen my parts, I made instructions to assemble the cube.

I assembled my cube, however, it was taken apart due to the fact that we also created a second puzzle cube.
My instructions:

Working with CAD for the first time was definitely a challenge, but I believe I've gotten the hang of it. I made all five pieces of my second and final puzzle design.

And my finished CAD puzzle :

Here's the explosion!

So, I finally get to making the real thing! All I have to do is follow the CAD models.

My complete puzzle cube!

Last step is making the box.
